I'm A Steemit Otter Looking To Upvote Your Article!

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Steemit has hogged my attention for the past month. I was one of the lucky ones that was blogging here before the site became uber popular. I wrote handful of good articles and somehow my account is worth somewhere near $35,000.

Do I deserve that much for my articles? Probably not. But I was rewarded for taking a risk while the site was still a minor experimental project. And I'm grateful that it's happened. I've paid off two credit cards and plan to pay off all my debt if the Gods are onside.

Anyway, let's talk about you

You're probably new here and didn't have as much luck as me. If you've genuinely put your heart into a piece and are disappointed with what you earned. PLEASE COMMENT BELOW.

I'm now a Steemit otter. My vote on a fresh post is worth about 30 cents for you. It isn't much. But it's enough to appear on the active page, to then get a vote from a whale.

Here is what I value

That's what I'm interested in. That's what I'll upvote.

Why?

Steemit here needs diversity. For it to become as big as Facebook, we need a huge variety of content from all swathes of people.

I also think Steemit is the portal to a shift in consciousness. I think it's the start of the revolution. It will rip up the old economic model and help us rechannel life force into meaningful endeavours. It has the DNA for it..

But what Steemit needs right now is more than simply cryptocurrency experts and coders. It needs YOU. It needs your voice. Your story. We want to hear your soul talk to us.

Don't be discouraged if you haven't made it to the front page here on Steemit. Don't let the bastards say "try harder, stop whining." You have every right to complain if you have made something meaningful that hasn't been seen. Let me do what I can to fix it.

Comment below with a link to your best work. I'll upvote it if I like it. And if I don't I'll give some constructive feedback so you can become a better writer.

Let's get you the attention your writing deserves

This is exactly what Steemit needs and I am not just saying that because you linked my article. I have noticed quite a few people complaining that they feel ignored, they don't know if their work is good or bad, if the subject matter is not marketable or if it was not formatted properly. By giving honest feedback you are not only helping us to learn from our mistakes, you are also filling a niche that will help Steemit to grow and that is very commendable. Upvoted and Linked!

@alexc I linked you here:

I would be interested to hear some advice on the format or if I made any other mistakes, the format doesn't look right to me, but I have only been using HTML for 4 days now.

@alexc
I just started a new five part story and I would like to hear your feed back.

Thank You

Your upvote really helped me out, 23 other people read my story. Thank You
Here is another if you have the time

I definitely need to practice writing more but here's a link to something of mine I thought would be cool to chat about
https://steemit.com/steemit/@chriscrypto/how-i-landed-on-steemit-and-purchased-my-first-full-bitcoin-ever

I've upvoted it because I like the gifs. In future though, I'd recommend adding a bit more depth about what this means to you. For example this article celebrates that you bought a bitcoin. Big deal. But like what that does practically mean to you. Imagine you're explaining it to your grandma ;) That would be cool. Also you could link back to your previous article that trended.

Wow thanks for taking the time to read it and for the upvote. Excellent points you bring up you are 110% correct, I didn't think of it like that. Just trying to pump some stuff out and not really getting deeper into it, big fault here, thanks for keeping it real, Peace.

Do you know giphy.com ? The are lots of animated gifs.

Actually, this is potentially a really clever post: You (hopefully) get a load of posts that interest you winging their way to you !

I've upvoted it because it's useful information. Also you did amazingly well to get that username! Maybe that article could discuss the argument between cashing out now, vs. powering up. Who is it right to power up for? Who is better off cashing out now?

Maybe your next article could be writing about what you're looking to achieve through Steemit, your plans with powering up. And what you would do with the money, if you do well out of it. Just a thought.

Thanks for the suggestions. My first articles cover Steemit, because I'm not really sure about it. It's the first cryptocurrency that I know which is mined by content. Maybe this will become very big and I like to be a part of it. Thats why I'm suggesting to power up.

Thank you @alexc for your vote! i really appreciate your support to my hard work! I'll push the follow button right now!

Inspiring article, thanks for sharing what kind of articles you're interested in.

What a cute otter!

Otters seem so friendly and pure hearted. Anyways, this offer to upvote people's stuff is really nice. I'm still starting out, so I don't think I'm disappointed with anything quite yet. =p

I'm gonna stick with it, and see if I can at least inform people of some cool ideas! Discussion is what I'm here for.

I work with a group that focuses on freedom and rights. Once we found out about #Steemit we started posting articles. It is interesting to see how some articles have hundreds of votes within the first day while others get a handful and then stop.
