Interesting perspective, to me it isn't about the money but the evolving paradigm shift which steemit represents. We are witnessing (and being a part of) a birth of something exiting and new.

I am definitely humbled and excited to be a part of such a revolutionary concept! But I think the money is a big part of that. Incentives are the major driver of change, and steemit / Bitcoin, etc... are financially incentivizing people to take part in the development of decentralized technology that will help bring about more peace and prosperity for the entire planet! The more financially successful we become, the better we are able to drive this paradigm shift.
