RE: Thoughts on Steemit/Gedanken zu Steemit

I see you also in price ;)

I try to see the situation as it is. I think steem has major issues, regarding the circle jerk or self vote abusers. I stoped voting my own posts so that curators have the chance to get the most out of it. We have to see that with growing all kind of people will join and will be more a virtual display of the society. Steemit at the start was more a high percentage of idealist, cryptolovers, anarchist, socialist and liberals(last 3 being in contradiction, which is also healthy for a system), now it goes mainstream. For growth it is good, for the starters maybe bad as the system changes and most of the people try to withstand change at the start(at least I do).

I do use steemvoter for the accounts of interest as I have there a better overview of the new posts. Steemit does not have the feature yet to select the new posts of the ones interested. The main page algorithm might need a change as new users most don't have a chance without a bot or interacting with whales for a ong time.

I can't wait to see your music project going. If you need some developer help, utopian can be the place. The communities will grow stronger in time and also the music community.

Thanks for the comment :)

The new ones to the platform have major issues to get noticed, that is why music curation is good, most of the music producers and fans are pretty new to the platform and hard for them to get noticed so some manual curation will help them (I hope); I think only openmic is doing good. Lets see if we can bring the music minded people closer together.

Have an account with SteemVoter, I think, but never used it. Will have to look into it. Used for a little while esteem.life, that had channel configuration filters to filter on all sort of parameters. But the tool seems not online anymore :(

I think this has to come also from the influencers in their line of interest, like you and @uwelang are helping the music community. There are some interesting music challenges like openmic or rap challenge, it depends on the style you enjoy.

Drop me a line when the project starts, as there is a lot of noise and I might miss something.

Yep, I do agree, those who are a bit longer with Steemit and have build a kinda network, need to fuel to music community to become one.
I'll do my best to remember; But when I do, I for sure will drop a line :)
