The Reason This Bride Shaved Her Head on Her Wedding Day Will Have You Feeling the Love

This is the story of Craig and Joan Lyons. They've been friends for more than 30 years but according to the Daily Mail, he only told her how he really felt about 18 months ago. And the feeling was mutual.

"I fell in love with her as soon as I set my eyes on her when we were 14," Craig told the Mail. And that's the stuff romantic movies are made of, right?

Sadly, their happily ever after is not to be. Craig learned during that time that he had terminal pancreatic cancer. Their wedding was already in the works so they bumped up their big day.

And after exchanging vows in front of family and friends and loved ones and walking down the aisle with her new husband, in a beautiful show of love and solidarity, Joan chopped off her hair. With some help from Craig ...

"It was obviously the first time I had seen Joan without her hair and she looked beautiful, absolutely stunning," he told the Mail. "She is the woman of my dreams." And the woman we all want to be.

Joan donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that creates wigs for children who've lost their hair during cancer treatment. The couple also also turned their wedding into a fundraiser, encouraging their guests to donate to three charities (one for cancer support and two hospices).
