Just Me (Not for Sale)

Well here I am Steemit, I am Felicia and over the past Week I have gone way off course. I to have fallen victim to the high Value posts on the trending page and have even caught myself unintentionally using Click bait in my titles. Today I have been quiet and have just sat back and looked through my own posts, what I have been promoting and what I was trying to push to the Community. Alarmed, I noticed that I to was falling victim to the all mighty dollar and my posts started to look very apparent in that direction. Trying to rethink how I was going to reinvent myself to the Audience, I simply forgot to be myself, feeling that sold out felling had me even questioning my own morals of why I was here.

I also read some more of the Trending, New and Active posts and thought to myself, what am I doing and why have I fallen into this Greed for approval. I am Me and that's all I needed to remember, I write because I enjoy it, this Concept has been long forgotten due to the Trending page being the First thing you see when coming here. Waving a bunch of Money in my face and giving me the feeling that I to can blow up from one single posts had my mind diluted.

Funny thing, I have looked back at a post I did a week or so ago and had a mental Duh moment, the post was titled "Back to the Basics", yet I failed to follow my own momentum. My purpose for this post is to enlighten others who are getting that "Why not Me" feeling and hopefully can shed some light on how you to might be trying to hard to impress people. We all have lost our Roots and forget to just write how we feel, whats going on and anything relevant at all. We ave grown to accustom to grasping at straws when thinking of what will be Huge ,that we are forgetting the whole purpose of being ourselves.

If you are reading this, just know that because you are not making tons of Money on here, does not mean you are worthless by any means. Your Story might be worthless to some, but Priceless to others, I know I have tried to promote Inspiration and where you can find it, I promise the Trending page is not the place. I am going back to being a writer and hope that the interest in my words are for what I say, not just what you think it might be worth. You are worth far more than anything a post on Steemit can pay you, so remember to not get sidetracked by what is Trending and to try and Go a completely opposite direction, Just go back to being the you before Steemit and watch the posts flow.
