Infected with the H1N1 virus in a public hospital, a neurologist is hospitalized in a private clinic

Before the balance sheet passes, Tuesday, February 5, 2019, to 16 dead, a neurologist who officiates in the neurology department of the Mohammed VI university hospital in Marrakech, was contaminated last week by the H1N1 virus, before it be taken to the emergency room of a private clinic, we learn from our colleague Le1.

The patient, already weakened by a chronic illness, chose to be supported by the medical services of a private clinic, rather than to be treated by the public hospital of Marrakech where she works, something that seems quite is normal. The neurologist would have, no doubt, made the right choice by offering the services of a private clinic, instead; everyone knows the sluggish state hospitals face this virus; to risk one's life.

Since the first swine flu victims in Casablanca and Fez, the Ministry of Health has initially challenged the existence of the H1N1 virus in Morocco. But after the discovery of new cases in other cities of the Kingdom, Minister Anas Doukkali preferred to reassure citizens by announcing that the best remedy would be the vaccine against seasonal flu, knowing that the H1N1 virus, responsible for 16 deaths up to to now, requires antiviral treatment with a drug, hitherto absent in pharmacies, that is Tamiflu.
