Agree! It takes time, but it has so much potential! Though it is a year old it is still a quite new platform and will grow in the future! So getting on here now is still a major step. Though you are in a lucky position compared to other newcomers. It can be really hard to get exposure when you are new... but we've all been there and like you said don't give up. If you create good content, one day you will make it on steemit too! Never give up and don't beg for followers or shares and post great and helpful posts is my advice.
