Great guide, all users should read it :)
I really don't like the idea of competition (which our society always taught us) and I prefer the collaboration paradigm.
Of course everyone wants profit and a good reward, but let's not consider Steemit a mere money-making machine.
We have the opportunity to connect creative people, to make collaborations and to share ideas and visions, so let's do it the right way!

Good point @andrew0, it feels like going for profit doesn't really pay off on Steemit. I actually suppose it doesn't pays off in life too (and this make me think to another field - business itself - where some research shows that chasing money is not the best strategy to make money - One of the paradoxes of business is that the most profitable companies are not those that are most profit-focused).
As you says, we grew up a competition-based society - time to be different on Steemit!

I agree on the paradox, many things in life are a paradox :D
