You probably didn´t notice, but on the last 20 days I just posted 4 times.
Some would think that´s not a bad avergae but for a traveler who used to post twice a day and also relies entirely on his steemit earnings to keep traveling, well this fact becomes huge.
I´ve met a lot of incredible users around here. For some of you this is the dreamt job, success on Steemit gave you the financial independence you craved for all your life; for others, being on steemit is your only chance to make money on the side, some call it beer money or cigarette money; hell, I know of some people who spend 8 hours here because those 100 bucks they make every month are enough to survive on their country.
The truth is, our realities are very different but it is there where the true beauty of steemit lies:
Very different people from diverse backgrounds and lifestyles, we all converge here, on this social network that is still on beta mode and even so manages to make most of us happy and satisfied.
But here is the thing, travelling while full time steeming is hard. Relying on a post to decide if you eat or have somewhere to sleep is difficult and stressful - even for a non-stressed chill mexican - and it can become more demanding than a nine to five job - which is one of the main reasons I left Mexico City.
Don´t get me wrong, I love this lifestyle and I am going to continue this path for as long as I can. But sometimes we need some time off and since I managed to get 1,500 SP I decided to start poewring down and live off of the Steem I get weekly and relax in Nicaragua.
It is an extremely positive situation the one I am living right now because the cost of life in Central American countries is pretty much the same everywhere, so I just had to make a budget and stick to it.
You see, it gets tiring:
Spending 10 hours on average every day exploring the cities, the jungles or the beaches around and then coming back to the hostel or my host´s house and having to prepare an article for the next day - because if you don´t do it, next week you´ll have fewer payments lined up for you thus your budget will shrink considerably - and after that trying to engage with the amazing users you meet around here is difficult. But if you add to that ecuation the fact that you keep meeting new people on the real world - and some of them are girls, I gotta tell you - it becomes impossible to enjoy travelling at its fullest.
Being involved in so many projects here on steemit, personal projects like my webpage and also trying to be a average traveler enjoying new experiences became too much to handle. I stopped writing for a few weeks.
I had to make a choice.
Of course Nomad! If you want to travel only on steemit earnings it going to cost you sweat and tears! That is obvious!
Yes, it is. I get it and I know I have to keep doing it and I am going to keep doing it, don´t worry, you will have more crazy stories from this hardcore and fearless - but severely damaged on the head - nomad. I have some blog posts on my mind that include cliff jumping to a canyon, more hitchhiking tales, surfing in the the pacific ocean and more croc hunting lined up.
So long story short, my holidays from steemit are over, expect a great return from this nomad on the making. I won´t abandon you again, at least not in 2017 that is.
It can be very exhausting indeed. I still work full time running my business and then come home and have to deal with my son, homework, supper and still put a cohesive post together... this can take 4 to 5 hours at a time. I have been pusbing reallyhard here on steemit but i am feeling it. My body needs some down time. I even burst a blood vessel in my eye last week because of the hours i have been spending in front of the laptop.
I love it... but yes... it absolutely takes it toll on a person.
Great post. Welcome back. Looking forward to seeing more from you 👌😉😎
I hardly know you @jaynie, but bloody hell, you're grinding hard! Hope you get some much needed rest soon! All the best :)
Lol thanks. I am progressing... tonight i am working on the couch instead of at the dining room table... lol... progress haha 🤣👌😎
Haha... but just don't forget to look after yourself too :)
absolutely :)
Superwoman!
lol thanks xxx
I just love how you two - which by the way I like so much - had the most heartwarming conversation in my post. So glad to unite soul-alike people :)
Trust me I know what you mean, that it's tiring, in fact very tiring. But it's fun!
You gotta live and enjoy your nomadic life first.
What amazing effort, on your part, to keep your dream alive!
Love what you're doing! Looking forward to more stories from you :)
i like travel.. and Awsome..
you gotta do what you gotta do (-:
Awesome my man, glad to hear you are doing good. I was a little worried when I saw that you weren't posting. I was hoping you didn't have another chicken bus robbery or something worse. I know your out there traveling and sometimes shit happens, so I'm glad to hear your ok. I enjoy your blog posts and can't wait to see what you've got coming, especially the cliff jumping. I like cliff jumping!
Yeah, this platform is awesome but sometimes you need to focus on something else..like traveling, lol. Welcome back :)

Welcome back :) Did notice, also know you're travelling and figured maybe you just ended up somewhere with no internet access and having the time of your life so figured after not hearing from you for a month or so would be about when to start getting worried. Prepping those articles can be pretty stressful and breaks are good :)
I loved the part where you said
:-)
Everything at its time, right?
I'm happy that you're back!
