Welcome back my Steemian brethren to part II of my breakdown on some of my favorite Las Vegas venues. In my previous post, I discussed the first two things on the checklist once landing and checking in. In Part deux I want to discuss some of my favorite establishments including a great place to grab a sandwich in between table sessions, and somewhere to get good drink service while playing $5 blackjack.

I deliberated whether or not to discuss individual hotels and their accommodations, but ultimately decided against it considering the small sample size (I’ve stayed at three separate hotels). HOWEVER, I do want to shout out some of my favorite casinos and places to play certain game in PART III.

I’ve buried the lede: This is my favorite spot in all of Vegas. O’Sheas Pub at the LINQ. It’s situated just south of the LINQ’s casino (you can walk right into it past the blackjack tables), but the easiest route is to walk down the brick road parallel to the north entrance of the Flamingo and look for the marquee. If you prefer lower limit tables it’s a great spot, and because there’s a bar right in the smallish space, drink accessibility is primo. The dealers are friendly and energetic, the atmosphere is part college bar part hidden gambling hall. Finally, if you stop by late night after dinner they have excellent live entertainment that makes the place an absolute can’t miss for a good time. It’s also centrally located, so heading anywhere else is a breeze.

After you’ve walked south down the strip in the heat, you might find yourself feeling a little hungry. It isn’t necessarily time for a meal, but you need to fill up before getting back to hittin’ the sauce. As you reach the corner where Excalibur resides, hop on the tram and get off in front of the large pyramid structure that houses the Luxor. Tucked away in the corner of the casino floor is a spot that serves NY style deli sandwiches called Backstage Deli. Get the pastrami! They pile it high and it is damn tasty. Our first family trip out to Vegas was when I was 16 and we stayed at the Luxor, so it has withstood the test of time. That may actually be part of the reason I always try to go back- sentimental value, ya know? They also have killer breakfast sandwiches, of which I consider myself a connoisseur.

As mentioned, look out for PART III where I discuss some of my favorite places to play blackjack, craps, and roulette. There’s so many different places that it’s good to curate a short list for a few categories to check off on your next visit. Would love to hear from you guys about your favorite places to eat, drink, relax, and gamble!

Al always, appreciate ya for reading!
