Progressive Rock: my contributions

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Hello friends!

Today is one of those days to listen to those songs that so relax us and give us to imagine, solid pieces of progressive rock, compositions of bands that have evolved over the years, creating progressive and conceptual sounds in their songs, instrumental passages and dreamers. Progressive rock had its origin in the United Kingdom, quickly developing in other countries such as the US. At the end of the 60s.
The most influential bands like Pink Floyd, Rush, King Crimson or Genesis, had a goal, to give more weight to the rock, more experimentation and musical enrichment in the compositions. Normally the bands use non-traditional Rock instruments, such as: Saxophone, Flute, Violin, Percussion, Sinfonia, among others.

Pink Floyd

The structures of the compositions are long-lasting themes, some of them up to more than 30 minutes, with progression and evolution. Experimentation of changing sounds, that take us from calm to torment from one moment to another. Most discs have a solid conceptual base.
