Oh how much I have to agree with you. I rarely say this outloud, but I can't see Steemit replacing Facebook. These are far too different platforms and they can't replace each other. It's like someone would pretend twitter would replace instagram or youtube would replace spotify. It doesn't work that way.
Another mistake is to use the "Steemit is easy money for posting", even more when you add it with "Steemit is like facebook, but better and you get easy money for posting anything". Then people will think this is supposed to be a place to share memes, bad photos of your face and videos found online and somehow make loads of money doing it.
