Beware of any suspect “resteem for money” proposal
After my previous scam alert post, several users notified me with suspect activity they noticed via the memo linked to micro-payment to their wallet or via spam comments.
Therefore, I continue my investigations to find out the perpetrators of such (potential) malicious activity.
Thanks to @steemsyndicate for reporting of one of them. Here the result of my research.
Description
Account: @minnowpond
@minnowpond is spamming users with the following comment on their posts:
Up to now, @minnowpond has already sent 99279 comments
To be able to send even more comments, a second account has been created
As you can see, @minnowpond1 has already sent 45027 comments like this:

Potential scam
Although it looks @minnowpond provided some resteem services, several users complained about their post not being resteemed as promised.

Here is a recap of the transactions involving @minnowpond:
5888 payments were made to @minnowpond with a valid link to a post in the memo
2898 reblogs have been made by @minnowpond
Out of these 2898 reblogs, only 2866 are related to payments made by others users
3022 payments have not been honored with the promised resteem!
Therefore, I consider @minnowpond's action as being a potential scam and this account to be untrustworthy.
Preventive action activated
The account @minnowpond has been put on the black list of my Warning-Bot and it will issue warnings with a link to this post, notifying users of the potential malicious activity of @minnowpond.

We have been experiencing issues with the node minnowpond uses lately which has been delaying upvotes + resteems. They will still be voted + resteemed, We have turned up the voting percentages to appologize for this inconvience. And will be fixing the Issue later today.
“3022 payments have not been honored with the promised resteem!”
Not everyone pays for a resteem, users who send 0.25 only get an upvote. While I admit we have likely missed a few resteems its no where near 50% of payments.

Same here, they are impossible to get ahold of. They really don't receive that many mentions for them to overlook my multiple comments directed towards them. 14 days and never received the services I sent SBD for. Smh... @minnowpond

Idk i think the post wasnt upvoted nor resteemed... I didnt get any sorta gain. I guess this was to late past the 7 day time frame... so i personally feel like my 1.25 sbd went to waste,
I rent power to this service and I don't believe it to be a scam. Why not contact the owner first before posting something like this?
Based on my experience, "scammers" usually do not respond to contact attempts. It is often a waste of time, and during that time, they continue their misdeeds.
It is also for this reason that I use the "potential" qualifier if it is not totally proven.
As you can see in the comments, @minnowpond has reacted quickly and I think we will be able to solve this issue.
And non-scammers would respond quickly. Faulty logic there, you have assumed the worst and treated minnowpond accordingly. You can't have it both ways, either it was proven it or it was not.
IMHO, the world is not as binary as this. Many "resteem service providers" are in between.
The aim of such post is to warn people and help them forge their own opinion. As the popular saying goes, "prevention is better than cure".

@arcange, something to say is recently the bot has been going through some changes. If you check out the discord chat there were tons of complaints and they were being taken care of, albeit at a delay. A response came around 20 hours ago stating the following:

@steemvote and @sportic have been working for me, never ripped me off b4, try'em out, there cheaper than @minnowpond scammers too!
I am going to jump in here because it seems that I have had votes pulled on content that I worked hard to create. Original content. I am new to this site and do not appreciate being trolled by @steemsyndicate (who has since been muted) where he doesn't have a profile picture and barely posts original content. I've said it now multiple times, I do not own a bot - for f***ks sake, I don't even know how to BUILD a bot. I have been shown how to do certain things to succeed on this site and have been told to just post good content. I don't appreciate being harassed by the likes of steemsyndicate making false accusations. I have had the same experience, sometimes things get boosted, upvoted, resteemed, and I have noticed other times it does not. It seems every service on this platform is slightly glitchy - that in my opinion would seem to be par for the course on any new site that has 1000s of moving parts. As far as I know, this is a community of people sharing content - good content and upvoting collectively to champion people who share thoughtful, provocative and interesting posts. You want Steemit to grow - let's not harass new users who want to add to the community. I appreciate @arcange you working to protect us against nefarious actions on the site. I also think that harassment by the likes of steemsyndicate also need to be called out.

So take that up with minnowpond! As mentioned, some people got upvoted and some didn’t. He explained that there was a glitch in his system which has been since fixed, but I am not minnowpond and do not know if it’s up and running properly yet.

as a little fish all of us want to become big fat fish. Everytime and i really mean everytime i read the minnowpond advertisement. I did not want them to resteem i like it when my followers resteem, and i find it a shame not being able to resteem your self, because there are things that you want to show of more :-) BUt i liked it that he did upvote my posts just because i follow him. But NOW it is changed i stopped following, because it is just horrible to open your feed page and you only see things resteemed by minnowpond ! all messages from people who pay for his services. And most of the post? well they are not sorted out, it is just a push on the resteem button without looking if the text is ok. I hate it. So i unfollowed again and decided I rather go without its services. That way i also get not spammed with post from people i do not wish to follow. If he is true or scam i can not know, but spamming for sure.
I resteem free for new steemians minimum 40 post/day manual without a miss, because we are a community.If upvote me I find it in upvote, if comment my post I find in comment and do this constantly day by day to grow me and community.I buy 100STEEM and I will buy more, sometimes I upvote good post from my point of view with my small power but at 0.25 SBD price for an post resteem it, with ""software bot"" all should be without miss not with particular noise "my server is down I try to fix it". I’ve recetly been ripped off by @minnowpond as well. Action is required here! No reply to my messages and no resteem. I know it was only 0.500 sbd but that’s not the point.
