Mining is a fundamental part of blockchain technology. By contributing their computing power to solve lengthy equations, miners verify crypto transactions. Without it, there would be no trust! People are often rewarded very handsomely for their work as miners.
Unfortunately, there are a few problems associated with large scale mining operations:
As a currency becomes more popular, the mining process has to use more, and more energy to the point that it is theoretically unsustainable
Not a lot of people have the extra cash to purchase the necessary equipment, nor do they have the time
Too much energy, and too few people inevitably snowballs into an unsustainable, untrustworthy mess
HOWEVER, a handful of people in the cryptocurrency community believe there may be a simple solution these three problems! The name of this new solution is called "Bicycle Mining". One of the relatively small components necessary to conduct mining operations is simply combined with a stationary bicycle, elliptical, or treadmill that has been specially modified to generate electricity as is used.
People will soon have the ability to lose weight while they make money! What better incentive could you have to workout and be a part of the cryptocurrency movement???
