I have 460+ followers ,but this number means nothing at all.. I get sick when I see posts with many earnings ,but only few views.. wtf ? And posts like this, I can see many times. So they dont even know what you wrote there .. and this is big shame. I dont have joy here anymore.. this is looks more like steembot...

:( I hope it gets better freshstuff you are a good artist and I'd hate to see steemit lose you. That owl logo is top notch. I hope we can stick this out together. As someone that deals with depression on the regular I can see why this site could be hard on us creative folks.

I hope too, man. we (artists) definitely should stick together , maybe even make our own chat room , and start to organize our artist community.

I really badly want to get a daily or weekly speed painting/multi media project going for artists to join in on. Just figuring out how I want to frame it. If you are interested in that let me know and maybe I can tag you to the group or something.

Sounds great ,it would be really dope.🙂

beside to any bots it still a great community and people would glad to help you if you would ask about.

If you wondering about their lives they would wonder about your. It's a mirror

Glad I participated

HAHA you won that round for sure. ;)

Hey, where is the thumbnail from? I really like it and would like to use it in a post of mine.

It is a logo I made. Would you like to buy the rights to use it? I could use the support, as I explain in the post regarding that image/art https://steemit.com/steemit/@artwatch/a-light-in-the-dark-giving-steem-away-logo

I also make custom steemit logos/avators/headers and footers. Let me know if you would like something made up. Thanks for stopping in.

Cool, i'll check the post.

A lot of followers on steemit are inactive or just login a few times a week.. they just dont see our posts. Thats what I found out the last couple weeks I was here :)

i kinda understand that sometimes. feels like they didn't actually read the post at all and just wrote a generic comment that could go with any other person's post. either that or they dont have much thought about the post

haha Totally get it - I did that post about spamming for follows... someone commented below it. "Nice dude I valid! follow me back!" and I don't think they were trying to be funny. So basically they didn't read it or they would know that they were doing the very thing I was disgruntled about.

Because Upvote and copypast thankyou reply are easier than reading, understanding (a lot of steemeans might not know English at all) and interacting

True- I have taken this into consideration. It just seems like a shift to have good feedback at one point and then nothing at another when you're working twice as hard.

also, you should consider the fact that a lot of people here came with the FB, twitter, Instagram background, where 'like' is the most valuable coin

Something that I have been pondering upon for a while now. Like no matter what you post, no one gives a shit. It is just give and take. I vote for u and you vote for me.. Thats all that is there. I am wondering it this money making business is taking away all the value that the content had! Just my opinion though. There could be other people who differ in their opinion

No- I think that way too. I think the financial rewards do force people to be more vanilla in their behaviors towards one another. The fact that once it is in the blockchain it can't come out again probably effects what people say too. It is a double wammy to me. It kinda feels like the feedback given will always be a bit watered down and pandering for votes.

I will tell you a funny incident. I had pasted an image to my article. I did a multiple copy paste and somehow it ended up adding almost a page of junk content at the end. I didnt see it. It was like 3 hours and 30 upvotes later, a guy pinged me and asked me to correct an error! That is the level of reading thatgoes into this!! And sadly that's all it is

You got it a lot harder than me @grao - writing on this site and having people read it all and give proper feedback. That has to be rough. I feel your pain.

I feel sorry for those who are just in the quest of money!!

I guess people try to get whatever they can. Aint no helping human nature. Best of wishes to you. Hope you have a good week.

Yeah.. We live in a free world after all :)

meep

Meep meep- I love you because you always say the right thing. Your meepanese is full of depth.

Sometimes it is hard to write, but is easy to say... hello :)))

This is true - I do take into account a lot of people on steemit might not speak my language too. I also know there is a lot of talent on this site - like you @foxkoit and it is hard to say something meaningful on every good work of art/pic/writing.

You are right, but we have to be patient, good things do not come quickly :)

aawww you mean I can't be like this.

But yeah I get what you mean. I was just really set a back at how much feedback this post generated. Thanks for the insight.

it is ok :)

Things seem a little strange around here lately for me too. I get almost no interaction on any of my posts lately no matter what the topic is. I even tried to run a contest to give away 10 Steem for a caption on a drawing and only received a handful of views and only two participants. Something must have changed because I just past 400 followers and I get fewer votes/views or comments now than I did when I had 100 followers. Maybe my posts are just shit. I would be okay with that except my thoughtless short posts about Bitcoin/Steem prices get slightly more votes than my thought out posts to try and get a little interaction. So it really seems people are moving away from interacting unless you are making posts about steemit.

I feel you man, same thoughts .. if you aren't friend with bots or pro blogger ,then you are nothing like we..

I am not the only one -yay ...a sad "yay" I guess.

Your posts arent shit @stephen.king989 . You put more time in the posts then I say 60% of users put into thiers. Maybe it is because of the influx of users these last few weeks. Maybe its just because at the biggining people are more prone to help you to keep you on the platform.

I don't know what it is but it is a confusing struggle. I am just throwing whatever I can at the wall at the moment to see what sticks.

You aren't alone.

It's good to know I'm not the only one at least. Things might get better once more features like the "communities" or "groups" or whatever they are going to call it get added and we can target more specific groups of people. Until then, I guess it's just throwing things at the wall to see what sticks like you say.

It is still the begining on this site as a whole so only time will tell. Take this post right now for instance. This is the most feedback I have ever gotten on any posts. So this too was just me throwing things at a wall... And I think this one actually stuck because I am actually spending the day interacting with people. This all gives me some hope.

Ah ha! So calling people out for not interacting works. Good to know. 😁

Well I think there are two sides to that coin. As you've no doubt seen, with my art series, I ask people to recommend their favorite artists and it's very rare that I get a suggestion. I feel it's been very successful, considering I only have 80 followers. I honestly was expecting to have a difficult time going through the suggestions and choosing the next feature.

Regarding the comments though, it's easy to post a meaningful comment on a good blog but since I'm actively looking for new artists, it's become really difficult and time-consuming to comment more than "Great artwork, thanks for posting", so I guess I understand that to some extent.

I think what your doing is fantastic. Your interactions with me have been more than meaningful - and that I was the first artist on that list really made me feel specail and valued as a steemit artist. That you took my artist suggestions made me feel like I was giving back too. So your feature is next level meaningful interaction @deimus.

It's been great to connect with people and it's made my feed a lot more interesting. We're a long way from getting proper payouts for artists, but I've started connecting with other groups now too, so we'll get there someday.

Have a look at the project I've been working on the last couple weeks:

https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@starkerz/decentralize-in-5-introduction-spreading-blockchain-tech-to-newbys

Resteemed it buddy. Nice graphics!!!! Seems like an interesting project. I will keep checking it out for sure.

I'm new artist, btw.

I'm aware of that and I'm already following you, haha

it sounds like I should be scary :)

nice to meen you too!

I ask my questions in a post. So I get answers

I have noticed that is a good strategy to take on steemit for sure.

but you should be honestly involved - with all your heart,
else it would be noticible

I am new to steemit and just have a few followers but I follow the things I'm interested in. If I like a post I comment and upvote it. I have no idea what other people do.
