Have you checked your Voting Power Recently?
Yes I am talking to the newcomers in Steemit who are yet to discover the Full potential and functionality of Steemit.
Some of them think that they have Unlimited Voting Power and can Vote all Day long.
I am here to say you that you can't! I have seen many Newbies just Depleting their own Voting Power to Zero and they don't even know what they did Wrong.
So today I am here to explain a little bit about Voting Power on Steemit.
First of all your Voting Power decreases every time you Upvote urself or someone else.
It increases about 2% every 2.4 Hours approximately.
So theoretically you can upvote at 100% for 10 times a Day and the next Day your Voting Power should be back to 100%.
Another way to keep in check your own Voting Power is to checkout these websites which give you an accurate idea of your Current Voting Power.
https://steemd.com/@yourusername
https://steenow.com/@yourusername
These two websites give you an accurate idea about how much Voting Power you have got left.
Remember your Voting Power increases 20% in a Day so if you have very low Voting Power, just leave Steemit for a Day or Two. You will have your Voting Power at Max for sure.
Smooth Sailing in there Steemit Waters my Friends.
Steem On.
Stay tuned for my Upcoming Posts.
See you guys in my next Post.
It is very useful article for the newbies. Even I am using steemd to check my voting power. Ideally, 10 - 11 upvotes in a day is good, beyond that it lowers down your voting power, which is not yet known by the newbies.
Nice post.
Life is always a learning Curve and so is Steemit.
Hehe
Very accurate , thanks for your help.
Yours sincerely rodmack.
I hope this post was helpful to you.

I hope I will be able to provide future guidance to anyone who is interested.
As for Voting Power try to keep it in between 75 - 90%. It's a nice place to keep your VP at.
no, thanks it's good to know, i vote for u
3.28% @pushup from @arunava
thanks for the info, really helpful
Thanks a lot @ajai
This post has received a 22.06% upvote from @msp-bidbot thanks to: @arunava. Delegate SP to this public bot and get paid daily: 50SP, 100SP, 250SP, 500SP, 1000SP, 5000SP Don't delegate so much that you have less than 50SP left on your account.
As a new Steem user who pretty much spent the first day just upvoting every post, I wish I had seen this first. Thanks for the information!
I feel you @versacepython. I did the same thing I upvoted others continuously and later when I hit 0% I was unable to vote.
At that time I realised that something was wrong.
It's really helpfull for new stemians. Upvote :-)
Thanks a lot @bdr90
I still struggle with my voting power @arunava . There is so much I want to vote for and it depletes me faster than I would like. My votes are only worth about 20 cents right now but as it grows I will have to be more careful. I want to encourage everyone I can with my vote.
You have to resist the urge to upvote. If ur vote is worth 20 cents at 100% VP than if you vote once you will lose about 2% VP but if your VP is 50% your Vote worth is 10 cents and if you vote you lose the same 2% so it's always better to keep your VP high as you lose the same percentage of VP regardless.
This is such an important piece of advise my friend. We all get carried away at times upvoting unlimitedly and not monitoring our VP which is soo very important out here on the steemit platform. Regards Nainaz

Recently I am struggling to keep my VP above 85% too.
This one's indeed will be very helpful to newbies like me, i have jusy actually realized that voting power decreases so as it does your voting % will be 0 as well . tha ls for posting this dear @arunava 👍❤️❤️❤️
Yes once it reaches Zero then you will get to know that there is a problem.
Until then you don't even know that you have VP to care about.
Let's see
great advise this caught me out when I first joined when I wasnt aware of this but now I watch it closly
Very useful post for new users indeed
tip!
I once bottomed out at Zero didn't even knew what to do after that.
Me to early on I them forced myself for three days to do no voting
Nice and useful article for new steemitians
Steemit web is so confusing. Apps still have some informations of power and all.
Nowadays there are some add-ons that display your VP and other stuff on the top.
ButI I don't prefer those as those seems risky to me.
