More users would be great, but there still seems to be a lot of issues signing people up. For example - my niece wanted to sign up this weekend. I walked her through the process and explained everything to her. She was excited to get started, even made her own blog site (which I had to help her set up, of course).
She still hasn't received her e-mail to get started on Steemit. It's been four days.
This is completely unacceptable. That is precisely how you lose potential users and will have a hell of a time getting them back. The younger crowds have little patience for technology that doesn't work. They want things and they want them now. And if the focus isn't on getting younger people to adopt this technology, then it'll be quickly sunk.
This sign-up issue needs to be fixed. Yesterday. How many more months does it need to go on?
Agreed, the sign-up process definitely goes under getting as many people as fast as we can. I mentioned we need to get onboarding set up so it gets people in quickly, that is unfortunate she has to wait so long.
I agree signing up process should be a breeze, in order to gain more members. I also understand that it cost them for each sign up registration, ideally what should be prioritized is quick sign up for real and verified users.
Email them on the confirmation email your niece got, and they will get back to you. That's what I had to do. Hope it helps
Yeah, that's probably what we'll end up doing tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.
