I have been aware of TipU for a while, but I only became aware recently, that you can actually invest in TipU and get interest.

The amount of interest you get, is based on a share of the profits. If you want to see how this works, go to the @tipu wallet, and you can see the transactions that TipU sends out on a daily basis, to notify users, of how much their Tipu balance is.

What I have noticed though, is that there is a way to make a little more off of TipU. You see, when you make a deposit to Tipu, you get a notification payment of 0.001 SBD. Now, the minimum deposit you can make is 0.1 SBD, so by making that minimum deposit, I just earned a bonus interest payment of 1% on top of what I can earn from profit share.
So you know what, I am not ever going to deposit more than 0.1 SBD at a time. I have deposited 4 such payments so far, and so I have made 0.004 SBD, as well as 0.001 which has accrued as profit share. That's not bad for a few days of investment.
Now the primary purpose of TipU, as the name implies, is tipping. The problem is, the tips I make to my followers are in the order of 0.001 SBD, whereas the minimum tip allowed by TipU is 0.1 SBD, which doesn't work for me. So I am going to use TipU primarily as an investment bank.
What I am offering to my followers, as a service to you, is this: if you want to make some money from TipU without spending 0.1 SBD , either because you can't or don't want to invest 0.1 SBD, I am happy to make a deposit on your behalf of 0.001, and will immediately return the deposit to you with 0.001 interest ie a return of 100% or double your money. So you will get 0.002 SBD back within a few hours. I can do this because when I invest in Tipu (which I plan to do on a regular basis as I explained above) I get that notification payment which covers my cost. I will pass that payment onto you. That is of course a one-off payment so really it isn't as good as investing directly in TipU, but for minnows it's a great deal and is ultra-low risk. Everyone can afford 0.001 SBD.
Please note: as I can't track an actual reinvestment in TipU, that is not what I am offering. It's just a one-off, double your money offer. And of course, I recommend that you also invest in @tipu directly, as it's a great way to make money on Steemit.

Well spotted. But, are such small gains worth time?
These transactions only take a few seconds. It's all about slowly building up your SBD balance which then allows you to use that SBD balance to invest in other things such as @tipu or maybe powering up and making more money from Steemit itself.
