That was a very well laid out article. I hope one of the things people carry away from it is to comment. Engage those that have content you like, engage those that like your content. Comment on the comments, let people know they were not just whistling in the wind when they leave a comment on a post.

Thank you! Yeah, comments are very important. For everyone. But I'd say it's even more important for newcomers, as it's the perfect way to gain that extra little boost of exposure when you start to build your following. It's also much easier to produce comments compared to fully blown articles most of the times, so it's literally the perfect way to leave your mark and spread some seeds across the platform.
That is one of the things I try to let new users know, along with how to extend there vote range once they reach 50SP, by using the manual slider in steemworld.
