Because I pretty much just reward those in my blog. I am generally sitting on 80-100% charge and I believe the math is as follows:
10 upvotes at %100 Full charge will deplete your voting a good day. Since I rarely browse and just post a quicky, I post aka shitpost; comments get the %80-%100 upvote.
If I used most of my STEEM POWER, besides delegating I could distribute to more steemians.. however, this requires constant engagement. I spent a good year grinding.. and life caught up with me. I’m tired.. can’t grind right now.
However I know who my regular followers are out of 3000.. and it’s probably more like 15-20 max?!
Now that’s assuming they see me in their home feed. Couple that with the hundreds or potentially thousands of other people they are following...
I’m not even sure how my regular followers see my feed and have time to comment so quickly! Maybe they are grinding it. In any case, when you can’t grind it, just give upvotes as freely as possible.

What was the point of this blog again?
I only have about a dozen people who I really follow and i'm retired so i have all the time in the world. Plus who can really turn down free money. I'm not only smart, I'm a fricken.....

I have noticed the same thing. I get a few auto votes and some random people will drop random manual ones and maybe one or two of them will comment but I probably only have a handful of regular readers who come by and comment often.
I, personally, curate everything manually so I interact with what I happen to see in my feed but there are a few people I go out of my way to look for. I would guess that your regulars really like what you have to say and make a point to seek it out. If you have 15 or 20 people like that on your side, I would say that you are doing great.
