RE: Steemit Notes: Long tails, editing, payouts, whales

True, and I'm sure there are other downsides to it, too.

Mainly it was part of the 'permanent post' idea, also, meant to reinforce the idea that there is content worth of being permanent, and perhaps permanently rewarded.
I'm not married to the idea tho, and it certainly needs restrictions.

Personally I think that if something is that popular that it is being resteemed a year later or more, I think it deserves another upvote. XD

... I think I'm too tired to write well.

You're writing fine! Get some rest though, I've gotta turn in too!
I just definitely think it'll always be a battle between what is ideal, and what the technology can handle.

Thanks, and take care!

I really love Steemit. <3

edit: for those worried about the price of Steem, everything looks terrible compared to Bitcoin right now, keep that in mind. It is a great time to invest in cryptocurrency in general, these are still the early days of things, relatively speaking. You'll be telling your grandkids about when BTC was "only" $1,000 and when Steem was LESS than a dollar instead of SD being worth fractions of Steem.

btw to Steem witnesses, miners. etc, more currency = less value.

ok I'll stop now.
