Transparency leads to accountability and a massive reduction in the assymetric distribution of information...therefore power. The really sad thing is that generations from now, when things are better, the psychos won't have the amassed and destructive power so there won't be anyone to care. It's the threat of losing this power and the competition between powers that leads to all the carnage.
