Why you should be more active on Steem when prices drop! [Pro Tips]

in #steemit7 years ago

I notice as the prices go up, engagement and daily posting goes way up here. I also notice as prices go down, people tend to leave and not be as active. This is insane! The best time to grow your core followers and establish yourself is when the prices are going down and less people are creating content!

If you only create content on Steem when the prices are high, you are not a real Steemian! Real Steemians work hard every day regardless of the prices to create good content and increase their followers and engagement. What better time than when the flakes are not even logging in to make an impression on people who matter here?

Remember the more posts created each day the less each member will earn from the Reward Pool. Although the prices may be down, you will notice more returned to you for each post/comment you create!

Take a look at promoting posts as well. I noticed the average cost for promotions is just 1/5th what it was back a few months ago at the highs! This is a great opportunity to get more exposure on some of your posts by paying for promotion.

Sort:

"If you're not in the bad, I do not want you in the good either"

Those of us who love steemit do not care, it doesnt affects us whether the price goes up or down, because we enjoy the process of creating content and making friends through the network

So even though the price goes down, your friends and your followers are there, you must also be there for them!

Exactly there is no reason to stop using something just because the price change. If anything we are going to get MORE because when everyone floods back we are viewed as the "hard core" and most knowledgeable!

You are right mate. People need to be consistent and stop digging for gold

I try to engage at least 3 times a week and make posts at least 5 days a week. I check back everyday for the most part. It is stupid to miss out on all that time. Search Engines like Google pick up your posts too, and being consistent matters there. I have had people tell me they found my post through a google search on the topic I wrote about! Shows you need to keep posting as often as possible.

Congratulations @bigdeej!

I haven't read this post, and I didn't vote for it.
I AM selling my vote on MinnowBooster, but only when I'm above 90%VP (which I am not right now)... how/why did I vote on this post?

If you are a member of ShadowBot you automatically up vote other Casters' posts.

Ah!!! insert lightbulb icon here ...

I saw a few votes in my history for posts I've never read, and they all had like 2, 000+ votes, but hardly any comments, so immediately jumped to the (wrong) conclusion that some app I may have subbed to and unsubbed was still using my posting key. Makes sense now though.

I'll check it out now that I'm back near my PC. I joined on the suggestion of a mate of mine, but then the site was returning errors, so I forgot about it.

P.S. Thanks for responding!

P.S. I saw that you are 1 of only 2 humans being followed by @ShadowBot ... so I assume you have something to do with the system?

I'm still getting the same errors (see below)... some info for troubleshooting:

  • I log into the system
  • Browsing FAQ/Dashboard etc. is fine.
  • Clicked "Analytics" - page times out, and then all of the pother pages time out with the error below
  • Browsing through to ANY page on shadowbot.us now times out (including the home page before logging in).

Yes analytics page is having issues for some users.. We are working very hard and fast to get the new platform rolled out (which is an entire re-write). Backporting our new work to the current system would only add time, so we made the decision to push forward instead. I should probably just remove that link for now since it will give issues and doesn't offer much useful information currently anyways (it only shows the last 10 votes cast by the system).

And yes I am the lead dev, glad the following helped for you to identify this that was my goal. @shadowbot will ONLY follow officially endorsed members and services. This is a good way for all to know if someone is pretending to be part of our service/team or actually is!

cool... well, it's nice to "meet" you in that case... good luck with the rewrite.

Thank you! You as well! Great to have more amazing Steemians on here! Get ready for @shadowbook even if you are not interested in ShadowBot, we are building out a new interface that is very similar to facebook but instead built on Steem's blockchain!

It sounds really good, thanks @bigdeej! ;)
