I really do hope that Steemit gets so popular that it causes a spike in demand for for Bitcoin so people can purchase Steem. Who would have predicted such a scenario a few months ago? I doubt any exchange sells Steem for US dollars anytime soon so Bitcoin will be the gateway currency into Steem for the foreseeable future.
