Was curious on what others want & think they could achieve with Steemit.
Where do expect or what seems possible to achieve with Steemit? What are your goals?
This could include anything from money, building a social following, learning from others, making new friends.
I am also curious on others predictions on how big the platform could be, will it overtake other social media services, predictions on when it will be "mainstream".
My responses below.
Personally, I am very exciting with this opportunity Steemit has brought us. I've been looking to create a source of income that has purpose to me while I can travel the world, continue to learn, connect with others and build/grow my business. One of my most important and enjoyable priorities is learning more about the subjects that interest me. With Steemit I can learn from others and write about what interests which helps further my learning and connecting with others.
To answer the question... I expect to create a full time income from Steemit. As of now it seems very doable to build/grow your profile if you put in the time and effort...creating quality content and connecting with others. With the numbers I see on posts, I believe you can make thousands of dollars every single week. All while we are becoming better people in the process. So many benefits!
Now, where do I see Steemit in the future...? As we are growing each and everyday and the cryptocurrency market, I believe in 2 years time this will be very wide spread and most people will be hearing or know somebody involved. Platforms such as this will be the new wave of social media in my opinion. Not sure if it will over take others such as Facebook but it will definitely put the pressure on them and it is very possible for anyone to be booted out the market. They will have to change there business models to stay competitive.

I'll just be the first to stumble in here and say I have no expectations at all.
I just like the idea of the platform, and being able to reach people. I like the idea of having a wellspring of interesting content that isn't all SEO-spun and massaged PR releases masquerading as articles.
It feels like to me that people are taking back the "social" in social media, and it feels good to know that there is the potential of rewards - but it isn't absolutely necessary to enjoy the content here.
That's it, I'm just learning and trying to get how things work. And posting. And commenting!
I just want to make a corner of the internet less commercially exploited and a bit more personal and interesting.

i think i could achieve atleast 300-500 a month, if you hold on to your steem and wait till it hits 100$ you could be sitting on almost a 100 grand! great platform and growing everyday, dont see why people would stop using it, you make the money instead of mark zuckerburg! I mean we use social media anyways so why not get paid for it
Easily achievable to hit 500 a month. I love how the platform in you have more power with more SP. Keeps you investing long term.

Eventually I see Steemit being as easy to use as Facebook, eventually replacing Facebook as the main social-networking platform out there.
Easy as Facebook I agree, I am still 50/50 on if it could replace.

I hope that steemit will become a place where people can share experiences and learn from each other. Personally I hope to help people who are having trouble dealing with overwhelming thoughts and emotions as that is what I am passionate about. I hope to see more valuable and educational content and less unimportant posts from people only hoping to earn some cash and I think this will happen as people figure out that it's not easy to make money, especially from boring posts.
On the same page my friend! I want actually unique content that is decentralized and not put in a box like everything else now to just market yourself and sell your audience.
