Two days ago steemit added the ability to have a cover image. Check out mine below:
You can agree with me that it is a lot less boring than the default no fun previous cover image :)
To get yourself one just head over to Settings. You will see the COVER IMAGE URL space added.
See how dull the cover page looks? Get the image you want to use and resize it. The aspect ratio will determine if it will look stretchy or not. I downloaded my image at 3000x1688 pixels then resized it online here to 1200x300 pixels. Just play around with the aspect ratio till you get an image that looks not stretchy. Paste your image on COVER IMAGE URL space and click update. Enjoy the shine. But if you prefer the no fun cover simply go back, delete the new image URL from COVER IMAGE URL and update and boom and you are back to no fun cover! Lol
Go get it working and throw some shine to your homepage :)
