Yes, many have brought up this point. This tool doesn't show you what to write about merely when to post it. If you feel what you wrote is compelling to a particular Whale and that Whale isn't even online nor has been for some time... and you miss him/her. Well you missed out on an opportunity to get you article out there to as many people as possible because that one whale vote brings attention.

Now as many others have discussed, dolphins and minnows have been doing a good job as of late to get posts noticed, but a whale is where it's at right now.

@blueorgy since steemit is new, the Whales are giving "encouragement." But I believe that in a short period of time, it will be the minnows and dolphins that will carry more upvote weight collectively... People are seeing the dollars signs at the moment, and that's whats driving some of these stories For Now!
