I watched the first season last weekend and really enjoyed it. This is not just about hacking, it's about much more, it covers topics like student debt, mental illness, inequality and so much more.
If you're a millennial, a lot of it will resonate. Highly recommended!
I completely agree!!!
Indeed, SO much more! It resonates with a lot more than just millenials tho, and as you say on many different levels. I just rewatched the 1st and last episodes from season 1. The 2 hour long initial episode is crammed full of clues about what is revealed in the 2nd season.
What amazes me is the degree of accuracy of what is presented in a fictional context. From the realistic screenshots to the pervasive nature of how money dictates the level of freedom we experience in society. The writing for this series is excellent. It may even be predictive programming with a much shorter "time to actual event" than other programming. I was recently exposed to the idea that the E-Corp (Evil Corp) portrayed in the series is what we call modern day media, television in particular. An interesting assertion worth pondering.
