Steemit Registration: How To Speed Up The Process
Over the last few weeks I've received numerous complaints from people about the wait time for creating a new Steemit account. Some users are claiming that the process now takes between 7-10 days. While this isn't necessarily a good thing, it does show that Steemit is onboarding more members than they ever have before... and that's good! But in today's video I will explain the lag time, plus I'll share two services you can use to onboard your friends and family faster.

What about a written text tutorial, I find my network unable to view your video post, because of the region I'm in now, would really love to follow in the series and share this knowledge as I onboard new steemians to the platform
Hi @mathemandy, I'm sorry but unfortunately I only have video posts at the moment. I will occasionally do written articles but I prefer video and my following seems to prefer it as well.

Thanks @brandonfrye I wish i had know about this earlier. I wonder if it is actually better slowly introducing new accounts to maintain the integrity of the platform, and then if it does go out of control should be somewhat manageable?!
Good question. I personally don't think there's anything wrong with the amount of accounts being added to the blockchain at a time. I think it's just backed up at the moment which is sort of a good problem to have. And once these users are on board it shouldn't be an issue. It's just a growing pain for the platform which I'm sure will be fixed as more and more users are creating accounts.

Yes it's true it's been taking a lot longer than before to get on Steemit. One of my colleagues at work took about a week or so.
For me it was less than three days.

Thanks for the comment @joooks. Hopefully these services will help people get on-boarded faster. I would also like to see some sort of way to incentivize people to bring on new members. I know it benefits us all when we do, but would be cool to earn some Steem Power for sharing a link to Steemit.

I've got a bunch of customers and clients that I've been introducing Steemit to and some have been waiting up to a week.
And then along comes my kid.....
Signs up and within 24 hours he gets his account set up and he's already blogging LOL
Doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason on what helps speed it up if you go through the traditional ways. But I think you are right, it might even be manually and people have to create the accounts and delegate it themselves. I think it'll speed up over time though, big things ahead!!
That is strange how some seem to get through quick while others are waiting. Glad your son got on board fast though as I'm sure he'll be a great addition to the community. Keep up the great work man!

Interesting when I joined I didn't remember any waiting time it was less than a day. What I would be interested in how we can delegate steem power or other similar stuff.
Same here, wasn't more than maybe 24-30 hours. Seems to have gotten backed up with all of the new members coming on board. Nice to see the community growing fast though. :)

Hi Brandon .I just started watching your videos and i would like to know that if some one upvotes his own comment with high SP. so from that 25% they will get any money??? or they only get 75% for being the author???
Yes, you will also receive rewards for your own upvotes on your own comments. I know some people look down on this though so would be careful with upvoting your own comments.
Hi Brandon, , Thank you for the videos! I am slowly going through each one. I am starting to like steemit more and more now I am learning about it. I signed up last December but have only come back to now. It isn't as noob friendly as youtube.
