It was the last day of 2015 when @dan wrote about his ideas for creating a blockchain based Mutual Aid Society, which he called a MUXER. Here is the article:

And here is a diagram for the article showing the proposed allocations:
We wonder what @dan thinks about this now. Raising money to develop this might be tricky, as well as attracting a large enough membership base, particularly if signing up for bitshares is required, and the referral system is not revamped.
We believe that by combining Steemit/Steem with a 3rd party site, we could begin to create a growing network of verified people willing to make public funding committments, such as to keep a certain minimal balance in SBD and Steem Savings, until a group goal is met and/or a time period elapses. Let's say the goal is for the members to achieve an aggregate total in savings of 1 million SBD. When that is achieved, they would allocate an agreed upon percentage to fund development of a MUXER, or other project/projects. Voting on what to fund would be weighted towards amount invested and how early one joined. If the project was in fact a Mutual Aid Society, the balance after the system is developed, would go for initial payments into the system. If no traction is achieved, and the time frame elapses, no commitment would need to be fulfilled, similar to Kickstarter. The third party site would also track and attempt to shame those who fail to keep their promises.
Speaking of commitments, this has been my daily post #34 in a 50 part series leading up to April 1, 2017

Looking back at history can teach us a lot. Too many people look at today and tomorrow and forget how we got here. :)
