JENGLOT BUNIAN HUTAN

At Mount Sebelat (Kerinci National Park) Bunian people are believed to be forest human communities. Local people called "Uhang Pandak". One of the foreign researchers named Deborah Martyr was very interested in this legend and did research, but until now the research has not shown results. The term Uhang pandak is the understanding of a short man. They are creatures whose existence has been known since tens of years ago, but until now difficult to find physical and authentic evidence of the existence of this creature. Their own existence is often reported by people who accidentally meet with them, many of the tourists and foreign researchers who do research on the nature of Mount Sebelat accidentally met with this collection of creatures.

The information collected is able to provide an overview of Uhang Pandak. They are creatures that live on the ground, walking with both legs with a body covered with short hair (gray to brown) and height of about 80 cm to 150 cm. Some scholars even classify Uhang Pandak as part of the evolutionary chain which they call the "mysterious monkey".

Over the past three years, local and foreign researchers have been exploring the forest in the hope of finding evidence of Uhang Pandak's existence. They have done many ways of starting to install trapping cameras in the forest area, especially where the frequent reports of sightings of the creatures up to the making of traps to capture one of the creatures. Experts are worried that if the existence of Uhang Pandak exist, it is not impossible they are threatened with extinction as a result of their logging and destruction activities.

In addition to uhang pandak many other community of resident people who are trusted by people in various regions. Some of these beliefs even say that the community of the resident is not a community of spirits, but a human-like creature that has little difference with human beings, some think they are a separate human race and are part of the race of ancient human beings.

Regardless of whether or not they are part of a spirits or a different human race. The world still holds a mystery about those who have to keep doing research about their whereabouts. Are not the relics and skeletons of half-ape creatures or recently discovered about the short humans of Flores prove there is a community of beings beyond modern humans that once existed and could have been hidden for a day to be found.
