I agree that we need operational funds that SP can vote on how to budget. But having SP must be valuable for every users.

It may be true that there should be more, rather than less incentive to hold SP overall, I happen to agree with that
I just think this particular feature of SP (1.5% a year on something that has an average daily volatility of 5%+) in practice is a negligible incentive at a pretty expensive cost.
Yes I do agree with you also.
Now if we remove this however what incentive is there to hold SP. Especially for an investor type person.
I guess if we can give our voting power to other accounts and partake in the voting and curation rewards that may be a reason to hold SP.
I do think there should be a financial reason to hold SP.
