It's time. The first settlers on this great continent has made camp. Over 64 thousand accounts so far, but only 21,300 of those users have posted more then one post. (source) At the same time, there are so many people putting in their hard efforts making amazing content and at the same time chasing worthless karma-points. And when at the same time you smell smoke, maybe it's time to leave the ship?
May i remind you it's a pretty big ship?
Now it's time to enlighten more people on reddit that Steemit exist and why they should join!
Last time i tried to get people here from reddit was 2 month ago with this post
https://steemit.com/steem-marketing/@btotherest/lets-get-more-redditors-onboard
-The amount of posts have significantly increased
No real incentives besides working at the common goal of making Steemit THE new social network 2.0 ?
OK, How about this.
1 prize - 60% of this post SBD earnings
2 prize - 30% of this post SBD earnings
3 prize - 10% of this post SBD earnings
Prizes will be awarded for the hardest working reddit commentator, talking screenshots of each comment posted, Each comment must be somewhat different. Switch it up and write something personal, otherwise they will treat you as spam, and that is not what this is about We are solely spreading the word of rewards and real appreciation for their hard work!
The winner will be judged on these criteria:
- Amount of replies
- Quality of said replies
- Proof of Signups due to convincing a redditor is a plus!
How to submit:
- Make a screenshot, or several, of your comments on a post. post the URL separately under each picture.
- Post you submission(s) under the hashtags:
# TGRM
# TheGreatRedditorianMigration
Some tips:
- Choose posters that are doing more then just publishing links, and that you think could contribute to the community.
- Trending post are great to comment on for visibility, as well as highly active users with a lot of karma.
- We don't want to give the impression that everybody will come and get rich in a week, that will just give way for disappointment. This is a community, not a get-rich-quick scheme.
The biggest issue I see is that reddit for the most part is links outside the site which I've noticed doesn't resonate very well here. Maybe their onboarding will change the voting practices but I for the most part see original content exclusive to Steemit being rewarded.
For better or worse, I'm not sure.
It would be great to catch reddit in the act of censoring posts about steemit..
They will become Steemians, that's the whole idea! They will adapt and feel no obligation to keep posting on reddit, if anything they would want to get followers they have on reddit here too.
Great initiative, hope this will get huge!
As soon as I saw the prize was linked to the post earnings I kind of figured it wouldn't do well...
