I think steem and steemit benefit from bitcoin infrastructure and bitcoin will benefit from non-tech early adopters using steem.

For example, it was very easy to buy steem because 1) I had bitcoin available 2)previous experience with crypto made me comfortable enough to jump on 3)steemit and steem is intriguing on many different levels.

Someone on steemit with no bitcoin experience will become exposed to btc and maybe even keep some btc and not convert it all to fiat.

Mutually beneficial.

    I agree that Bitcoin is helping Steemit more than Steemit is helping Bitcoin. In the future, if Steemit continues its rise what's holding back Coinbase and other crypto-fiat exchanges from adding Steemit? Maybe Steemit will create more awareness in Bitcoin and Crypto but I think Steemit in is very useful by itself.
