I would have sold more pizzas for more bitcoins!
Actually, it would not be a bad plan to trade pizzas (their cheap) for bitcoins today.

Me too. I think the bitcoin pizza thing was a publicity stunt - I imagine if I had been someone who did that for real I would be deeply depressed if not suicidal.
I think it was an achievement. He gave some virtual coins no one trusted enough to give real value for them, and he got a pizza! There were a lot of idea that never reached that point of value, but BTC did! :)
(And the technology behind it started to change the world...)
I don't know much about finance, but it seems that was a start of price discovery. And I think STEEM is not far from that point, and a lot of people will regret if they will buy "pizzas" now without being hungry. But if you are hungry now, just buy a pizza IMO. It isn't just risk/reward but suffer/joy. Buy a pizza, and wait with the car.
I think these kind of stunts do make a point in the public consciousness:) I suppose you don't think of something as real money until you can buy something tangible like food with it. Food is probably the most important and basic commodity (along with water). It has a very important significance in the human psyche.
As long as you enjoy the pizza I think it is fine, but it better be a good pizza!
