RE: Why Facebook Should Fear STEEM

in #steemit7 years ago

Hi @abitowhit, I'd like to bring to your attention that you are complimenting a plagiarized article. Steemit user @bramy unfairly and unethically profited from a copyrighted work produced by InvestorPlace Media. The original post is here -- http://investorplace.com/2017/06/facebook-inc-fb-fear-social-media-kingslayer/#.WWBOBVGQyM8

Thank you for the heads up...I see the duplicated text. I am curious why I was singled out since many others replied as well? I agreed with the title and read but I really have no way to check for plagerism on everything I read. If just a heads up I appreciate though I do not believe there is anything I can do about it. I would not want to be cast into a bad light simply because I resteemed something I thought was interesting. Thanks again for the heads up.

With all due respect, I think you're reading way too much into my comment, which simply brought to your attention that the material you enjoyed was plagiarized. How you respond is completely up to you since I did not request anything from you.

I also did not put you in a "bad light" as I laid 100% blame on the plagiarist. You could not possibly know every material that is plagiarized, and that is why I brought this particular plagiarized work to your attention, as well as to many other Steemit users that unknowingly complimented, praised, or rewarded a con artist.

Indeed, it is to your benefit that you know who is a con artist and scammer so that you don't end up rewarding them, or end up getting scammed yourself.

As you can tell from the comments, the vast majority of Steemit users are appreciative of me calling out actual fraudsters.

Right on. My second comment mentions that I missed the others being notified as well. Thanks for your effort in notifying us. It's all good!

Ok scrolling further I guess I was not quite singled out. ;)
