The list below identifies the authors who have "Introduced" themselves or products at least 20 times since the start of 2018 AND have posted again in this tag last week. Only the first 11 records are printed here!
This is information only. The information was obtained programmatically and no favoritism was given to any author.
It is possible that some of these authors have legitimate reasons for using the introduceyourself tag repeatedly, it is up to the community to decide that.
This article (post) is also being tagged with the introduceyourself category. I believe it does belong under this tag, but let me know if you prefer not to have it posted there. I will certainly listen to the community on this subject.
The list below includes articles only (no comments) and only includes authors who have new posts last week in the introduceyourself tag.
Tag spam can really make it hard to find articles you are truly interested in when authors intentionally post their content using tags that really do not apply to their article's content.
If you find this tag spam to be unacceptable behavior, then let the author know. A quick comment with your honest view point may be sufficient to make a real change. Letting them know they are on "The Naughty Taggers List" may be plenty useful.
I will be updating this list on a weekly basis.
It is possible the authors below have already made changes to their tags and habits and their newer posts may be more properly categorized. But the count is accurate one way or the other as to the number of articles in the "Introduceyourself" category as of the time the list was generated.
To help fight tag spam in the Introduceyourself tag, I have launched a tool called @IntroBot.
@introbot is an automated bot hosted and managed by @bycoleman to welcome new users, provide helpful links and information and most importantly to help insure they become a success and asset to the platform.
@introbot works in conjunction with other tools to help fight tag spamming and abuses, particularly associated with the introduceyourself tag. Click here to view the latest comments made by introbot.
The success of introbot is dramatic.
This week there are only 11 total authors on the list and @markup should possibly not be included. This is compared to several hundred before introbot went to work!
If you would like to support Introbot, simply upvote any of the warnings or comments it has made or create your own reply directly to author and let them know how you feel.
Feedback is requested, good or bad. I'm working towards a great platform, but your concept of great might be different than mine, so I am very interested in your concept. Also, let me know if you would like to see more of these types of list.

@bycoleman: I've got your post in my introduceyourself post. In your post you've mentioned that I've posted 5 times. That's untrue. Yes I've posted three times and I've mentioned right at the bottom the reason. I agree that this tag shouldn't be misused and I take this onboard. But I think please correct your post if possible. My suggestion is steemit should have a tag for anniversaries allowing users to post when they turn 50 days, 100 days etc. Ive completed 50 days and took the liberty to post. I hope this clarifies. I'm all for building a strong community here. But please do not flag well wishers! Thank you.
Here are your five entries:
sidsun 31 Days on Steemit! 2018-02-25 04:54:51.000
sidsun 50 days on Steemit! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!! 2018-03-16 06:34:39.000
sidsun HELLO! I'M SID. WON'T U STEEM WITH ME? 2018-01-30 08:43:51.000
sidsun I can't wait to Steemit non-stop 2018-02-14 10:55:48.000
sidsun The Indian Sun is on steemit 2018-02-03 22:00:54.000
You can use the introduce tag (not introduceyourself) if your feel that is relevant. Otherwise you are free of course to use or create any relevant tag you like and others may follow like anniversary or celebration.
The introduceyourself tags is reserved to be used once only or possibly twice in 2nd language.
Blessings!
Yes,does nice devices(To help fight tag spam in the Introduceyourself tag, I have launched a tool called @IntroBot).
Thanks for the idea you have to solve this problem.wish you well
Thanks for your support.
Blessings!
A very informative sharing as always. Thank you @bycoleman
FUR'd.
Congratulations for a job well done @bycoleman. The fact that only 11 authors are on the list shows a very significant drop in the number as compared to your very first post last month or so. I would say about a 80% improvement. Yaay to you!!
Yes! It has been amazingly successful. I plan to attack other areas as soon as I can muster the funds and time.
Thanks for your constant support!
This is all very interesting. I introduced myself yesterday (well, today - CST in the wee hours) and my first reply smells fishy. Don't know what to think about it. I'm so new to this, it may be a while before I can fully dive in, but I appreciate the good work of others.
The first reply that was made to you was fishy and I just flagged it. This type of spamming for donations is not something that the platform will benefit from. When you see it, I would recommend you either ignore it or flag it.
Blessings!
I think one may use the introduce tag two or more times if an author try to address the new comer to better understand the system. However, if the intention is to re-gain indroducing popularity, that's unacceptable.
Thanks for your comments and sharing your beliefs on this.
There is also an "introduce" tag that can be used instead.
I love this post. It's so informative @bycoleman
I got to the bottom of the list whilst clicking to each post and was about to say someone's already on it with 'introbot' and then... it's your bot :) haha. Great idea, seems to be working very well already. Look forward to seeing what others naughtys might be next.
Thanks for the support!
I'm going to be looking at other tags like bitcoin and cryptocurrency as well as vote4vote posts that just rape the rewards pool.
No worries I'm thinking of adding you as an automatic upvote given I agree with everything you post haha, do you know how I can go about this?
Good idea with the vote4vote's.
I did notice the posts from the Introduceyourself list were for the most part having a barely noticeable payout, if there was a way to take into account the %of the reward pool SBD potential abusers are taking as well that may be useful (it may just be that their earlier introduceyourself posts got high payouts I can't say without checking them all).
I can certainly help you with the auto-vote, just give me your passwords and I'll take care of everything :)
Yes, the users that are left in the introduceyourself are really not causing any rewards pool issues, just cluttering up the tag with irrelevant nonsense. This lowers the quality of the platform in general.
Blessings!
Haha I can't tell if you're being sarcastic? not that I don't trust you to sort it personally I was just thinking more along the lines of do this, then do that then walla.
Good point, something I completely overlooked :)
Yes, completely sarcastic. Don't give passwords to anyone!
Have a blessed day brother!
Hahaha and who said sarcasm only works face to face 😄
Job done, following you via SteemAuto 👍
Its great to see the reduced number and to be perfectly honest the 11 people on this list are likely oblivious to their errors. Only one of their posts listed has been rewarded over $0.45 and it was a pretty girl who licked her lips in the picture. It is the ones that were getitng the big rewards that were an issue.
Yes, introbot has made a huge difference.
The ones left on the list are now receiving warnings or flags. I expect them to find a more relevant tag soon.
Wooooow ...
I clicked to see introbot replies and am really amazed at what you doing...
Am also grateful to God that it's working...
One of the account introbot gave a warning message got an upvote from @minnowsurport group... And I don't understand... Why would they be upvoting a post that's guilty of tag spamming, are they helping the system this way or not?
Thank you so much for the support!
A lot of automated services do not vet the post they are voting on, so if they are paid to vote on it, they do. There are also occasions when the service will simply pick the latest post by an author and use it to give a "reward" or similar. This is how steemitboard works, so it is possible cheeta and an award can show up on the same post.
Blessings!
Okay!
Now I get it, thanks for taking the pains to explain it to me.
And yes, I'll like to be seeing this kind of list
