Hello all, so from time to time I find myself running out of ideas of things to post on Steemit. Of-course I want all my posts to be interesting to read and valuable to the community, so I don't want to post any old rubbish. Therefore, I find it helpful to make a list of future potential posts in my free time when my brain is fresh and I am thinking clearly. I then won't forget these ideas when I later get the time to write the post, when my brain may not be fully coorporating like it was earlier.
I don't know if any of you ever get writer's block, or in this case, 'blogger's block,' however if you do, I am here to help. Whether you have been on Steemit for a while now or you are a complete newbie, let me give you some ideas on what to write about that others will find interesting and will enjoy reading!
- Reviews: I am a film studies student, so watch a lot of movies and television. I like to review the really good ones and also the really bad ones that I've watched for a bit of fun sometimes. They're fun to write and read, and make you pay more attention to specific details of a film you're watching if you know that you're going to write a review on it after you have finished watching it! You don't have to just review films though. If you're a book worm, then write a review on your favorite book; or perhaps on a video game or a You tuber you enjoy watching.
- Blog about your day: If you have a particularly interesting life that you want others to hear about, why not blog about what you got up to today! People love reading about other people's lives; and it's a bit like keeping your own personal online journal. You could blog about your ordinary day at work, or perhaps if you are visiting somewhere exotic, tell everyone about your trip to France, or Spain perhaps!
- Tell us a story: This story could be a personal story; something that you've experienced from your past, or it could be a work of fiction that you've made up. (Although remember to state clearly if it's not true so that people don't get confused!) A lot of people also write poems, short stories and even share some photographs that either they have taken or that they have seen online that really made an impression on them.
- Research: If you research a particular topic that you find interesting, such as the royal family or a weird species of animal, then share it with the Steemit community. I'd advise to reword the information you find and make your own comments on it so that it is your own work, because plagiarism is frowned upon on Steemit. You can however copy and paste things, if you state that it was not written by you and name the website that you found it on.
- Give a tutorial: Are you a makeup lover for instance? If so, write a tutorial with the addition of pictures to show readers how to achieve a certain makeup look. If makeup isn't your thing, people want to learn how to do a whole variety of things! Other options that you could give a go could be: 'How to draw something,' 'How to create a successful blog,' 'Fashion.' The ideas are endless!
I hope you all found this post helpful and interesting to read. Make sure you upvote it and resteem it so that others can also read it! Nice post Charlie!! Sorry I have been missing for a bit. Just been really, really busy in my life off of steemit, LOL. Not sure when I will be back to posting. I have started taking pictures at local cemeteries again to post on findagrave.com It helps other genealogists and I am getting good exercise walking through the cemeteries. Did I say walking? Yes!! I am finally able to walk again!! I went yesterday and lasted an hour and a half!! That is a long walk for me but I am sure it will improve over time.
Well, I had to stop in and say high to my favorite blogger!! Hope all is well with you and say hi to Robin!!
I do sometimes struggle to post each day and it is hard to come up with good/new ideas, this post gave me some real food for thought and will definitely help me choose new topics to post about.
Aw I'm glad I could have been of some help!
It can be challenging to come up with a topic, but it is also interesting to notice where our interests take us. Definitely a good way to find things we are passionate about!
