Yes, this is true. One year back before and after joining steem blockchain it was impossible to think that steem could be such an integral part of my life. One year back on the 13th of July 2017 I became a member of this amazing community by joining steemit blogging and social networking platform.
My friend @xyzashu introduced me to this platform but it was not easy to understand the ecosystem of steemit and steem blockchain as I only read somewhere that there are something blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. That time I was not aware of what exactly it is.
It was the time when I started my youtube channel and enjoying posting vegan recipe videos on youtube. I didn't post anything after joining the platform then I was suggested to post regarding my recipe videos of youtube. 13 days after joining steemit I published my 1st post Super DETOX Green Cleansing Smoothie and received 4 upvotes and 2 comments. It was really encouraging for me, then I started to publish more posts.
How to make a perfect tea/coffee with vegan milk? This is my one of the most memorable day on steemit. After that my confidence in steemit become more strong and started to work with more dedication.
In one year I have learned a lot about blockchain, cryptocurrency and steemit ecosystem. In one year I also have witnessed the all-time peak value of steem and steem dollar. After one year I have reached to the reputation of 65 with 2100+ followers, total about 1900+steem and steem power and little less than 2000 posts (Including comments and blog).
At the time of joining I was not at all aware how to convert crypto into fiat currency but slowly I came to know about the crypto exchange and also have withdrawn some funds for personal uses.
A lot of development is happening in steem blockchain as before one year there was very few application based on it but now a lot of applications are successfully running of this platform and there is a choice to choose the application suitable for you. Initially, I was using steemit.com but nowadays I prefer busy.org to publish my posts. I also have tried steepshot and Dtube.
I am confident that in coming years blockchain technology and crypto-based decentralize social media platform would be a life-changing for many people and bring next revolution in the technology world.
In one month I published about 10 posts and got a 1st payout of about 2$ from my 8th post. After that, I started to devote more time on steemit and thanks to @s4s upvotes I got encouragement to continue blogging on steemit. The turning point came after 4 months of joining when I got my 1st witness upvote of @blocktrades worth 47$ on my post
