RE: Linear Rewards will make Steemit what it was Meant to Be

in #steemit7 years ago

I'm very new to Steemit and just getting a feel for the community. Perhaps these features are available and I just don't know how to access them.

I would like to be able to search for posts a couple of ways; most viewed, largest number of up votes and most money generated.

As an author this would tell me a couple of things; what are people actually reading, what the majority like and what content is deemed worthy of reward. You would think that the most popular and most rewarded, would be the same, but I'm not so sure that is true.

It seems there is a lot of monetary rewards for some who write about Steem and Steemit. Perhaps the "Whales" like to see their investment promoted and talked up and therefore allocate their rewards accordingly.

I also see a trend with celebrities joining Steemit being greatly rewarded; like Jeff Berwick getting $15,000 just for his introduction post. I suspect that just a few investors made this happen for strategic reasons and that the overall community was ambivalent.
