I completely agree with the reasons for it not being made visible. I agree also very much with making some content tags require opting in to be able to see. I just didn't care to see that it was completely removed from visibility without any related information as to why. It really becomes then more a case of "we are doing this for your own good" which I don't think historically has worked out well. I would like to have seen it handles a different way is all. I had not considered however, and thank you for addressing, the fact that it was removed from steemit.com and not the blockchain.
You are correct. People can make their own sites using this technology and any content they want to share.
Yes the blockchain is where the true revolution is happening. Steemit.com is but the current most popular window for interfacing with that. :) I suspect we'll see a variety of sites interfacing the blockchain in the future. Someone could make an ArtSteem website or something that ONLY showed posts tagged art. Really, the sky is the limit.
