Down on Bitcoin, Up on Faucets!!!

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

The sky is falling and we are all going to parish in the aftermath of the great collapse of 2018!!!  Well that might be a bit over board but the blood of the investors that bought in on the hype when crypto was at ridiculous levels is still staining exchanges as people are dumping everything they have.  I am not an expert on crypto, I only play one on TV, but this is a time of great value.  Maybe not in the short term, but if you believe that these are investments that will accrue in value over the long term, then these are the salad days.  A bargain hunters delight.

Saying that, I am cheap and I want stuff for free, so this a wonderful time to diversify and grow our portfolios with the many faucets that are available.  Faucets basically exchange coins for the user visiting their site.  They earn earn revenue through Ads or running a mining software in your javascript sandbox.  For the most part, and I have done about zero research to back this up, faucets pay the equivalent of about $0.002 per claim, give or take.  Now that isn't much, but we can't look at this in dollars and cents but in the terms of crypto.  I am going to give one example of how the crash of Bitcoin is good for faucets.  I use a site called Bonus Bitcoin with uses the Coin Pot Microwallet.  Now during the boom, claims to the site were averaging about 15 satoshi.  Now that Bitcoin has fallen, my per claim average has grown to about 37 satoshi.  The conversion to the dollar is roughly the same, but if I believe that this asset will grow in value then the future value of these claims could be significant.

I know it is not sexy to claim faucets, but while the market is bleeding a little bit, take this opportunity to grab a little extra while it is out there.  I have included links to my favorite faucets.  Full disclosure, they are referral links, just delete the referral information if you want to.  Not going to hurt my feelings if you do.

Glad to see you posting again. I am definitely going back to collect some faucets starting today. Double the earnings is insane. Thanks!

I wonder how long some of them can sustain due to the high claiming amounts. I am seeing a ton more advertising, so the operators must also believe that Bitcoin is a long investment. They are going to try to buy up as much as possible on using the ad revenue from the faucet visits.

I am going to try to post more. Had writers block lately, so I thought it was better to just comment on everyone else, and not just drop stuff out there. I am going to try to branch out in my writing a little bit more, but we will see.

$0.002? That's generous...

You have to kind of look at it in the aggregate. First, if I believe that Bitcoin or whatever other currency that I am collecting is going to rise, then these low coin to USD values are in my favor as the future value of the claims will be much greater. Since my claiming has tripled for the most part, that $0.002 in value could actually be worth closer to $0.006 if prices return to the levels we once saw. Secondly. I don't have a mining rig nor do I want to pay for cloud mining, so I have no ROI. I pay only to charge my cell phone everyday. On an average day I claim on about 5 faucets at a rate of about 5 claims a day. At that rate, I earn the equivalent of about 6 cents a day in satoshi, which is better than I was doing mining with my computer.

What is good about these faucets claims if you want to put it in the language of Steem. Each faucet claim can be exchanged for about 0.001 Steem. Not a lot, but Steem should pay over the long haul if successful.

I was yanking your chain, but sure. that works. I also wouldn't be using your phone for collecting from the faucet sites, if I were you. This is what my VM caught trying to slip past the moon sites:

And phones are just as susceptible to malware as computers. Use protection, keep yourself safe.

You sound like my dad giving me the talk: "Use protection, keep yourself safe."

I need to start using a virtual box on my computer. It will keep my stuff safe.

Nothing is small. Gather little by little and we can be made rich. Bible also says so.

It is a very true statement. That is what I hope that people do with these faucets. At the very least, they can be used to increase their Steem power through converting on Blocktrades.us. 1 Dogecoin converts into about 0.001 Steem.

Earncrypto.com is a #scam stopped paying long time ago. im still waiting for payments from nov last year
