Hi, Steemians! I would like to ask you a question about the choice of the microcomputer, to share with you, my comparison of the models and to know your opinion about the choice of model.

Very handy for creating nodes. If you use them for cryptocurrency or just programming.
I can say that this is analogues Raspberry Pi 3. Many of them support Debian and Ubuntu (good for newbies)

Also, when choosing a microcomputer can help this short video.

Playable video :))

As for me, I like the two samples from the table - Orange Pi Plus 2 and ODROID C2.

I do not like the Raspberry Pi 3, due to the weak processor and small memory (1 GB). 2GB would be wonderful.
Leave comments if you have something to say about your choice. And yes, I know that the raspberry pi 3 has good support. :)

Thanks for attention! And good day to you :)

Enough for simple tasks Raspberry Pi 3

I used the Raspberry Pi to load Kodi on back when Kodi was called XBMC, it worked well. Then I used the B and the B+, they worked better but no wifi. Mind you I use these as streaming platforms with Kodi as the OS. The problem across the board with the RapbPi models is they are limited to 1gb of ram, so no bells and whistles for you. The issue with ALL the boards is you have to have a SD or Mini SD card, a flash drive if you want optimal stability, and you have to get a case and heat sinks if you want optimal performance. This is why I gave them all up and went with a Matricom G Box Q2, on which I can install Kodi with ALL the bells and whistles because the one I use has 2 gigs of DDR3 ram, 16gb of onboard storage with an SD slot upgradeable to 64gb and a Amlogic s812 Quad Core processor running at 2ghz along with a Mali-450 Octo Core 3D GPU. All this for under $100. That aside if I had to choose from the chart above, I would hands down go with the ODroid C2.

Matricom G Box Q2, interesting .

How about this? xD

The joke of course . But I'm glad that there are already a large selection of microcomputers .

Not for nodes but I use several RPis for my 3d printing and a few other things, just playing with a Pine64 running a a full computer.... very impressed so far :)

How about Odroid XU4? 8 cores :)
But Odroid C2 - have better memory clock = 912 Mhz.

I prefer to stick to RPi as it has far superior software support than many other similar alternatives. There are more powerful and more feature rich products already available on the market, however they are often hard just to get them to work because the software support is still lacking.

Another important thing that makes Raspberry Pi more attractive is the really good price/performance ratio it offers. Usually slightly more powerful or with just a few extra features boards may cost twice or even more compared to a RPi.

So RPi 3 is still the best choice for me personally and I have been using RPi since the fist model came out... :)
