Thanks for the honest introspection. I tend to comment on anything I upvote. I want the person I visited to know I actually read what they wrote. It was one of the things that bothered me when I first started at Steemit. Meager upvotes and very little feedback when there were votes.
I tend to scroll through my feed and read things the way you do. Topics that interest me. I also try to visit those who have shown me love. Out of mutual support more than anything.
I don't resteem. I probably should start. I have only ever resteemed a few articles. Usually ones that hit close to home for some reason.
It is interesting to read the different in approach to these topics. I guess a lot of it has to do with our experiences here.
As always, an introspective post that made me think about why I interact with Steemit the way I do. Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely nothing wrong with it. I think we all find our groove and follow our personal beliefs... so honestly, there is no right way or wrong way.
