I really appreciate your post, ogoowinner!
While there are certainly a lot of things that could be easier here (e.g. all info for newbies in one place, rather than in lots of different articles by different people - but OK that's decentralisation I guess :)) - I also believe that it does take time and effort to become successful. Just like anywhere else.
With the difference that we're all here voluntarily and can earn money with something we ENJOY doing. Nobody promised anyone FREE MONEY on Steemit - this is proof-of-work after all :)
Yes, it can be frustrating making only a few cents on an article. But hey, before Steemit, we all received zero for our articles! And we made all that effort to gain followers on Facebook, Instagram etc. FOR ZERO FINANCIAL RETURN ON INVESTMENT.
So we have to make an effort here, too. WITH a financial ROI.
(I am addressing myself with this speech, because of course I've also been getting a little bit discouraged at times, but begging whales for votes is simply not the right way. They had to earn their status with hard work, too.
Excellent comment @connecteconomy. That's what they have failed to understand. Steemit is paying you for the same thing you've been doing for free.
