RE: My Experience with Promotion Bots

in #steemit7 years ago

Have you tried the bidbots yet or just minnowbooster etc? I have been doing an experiment to find out if the bidbots are effective or not and it seems they arent as effective for minnows as I would have hoped:

I think that if you have loads of SBD you can just boost your post to trending which will give much more attention to your post.

Alot of the times the bots arent that profitable and just boost everyones post so it looks like we are making more than we are, but just making the bot owners richer.... I think using them sparingly to promote certain content is the best way!

I have not tried any bidbots. And I am not sure I want to.

Paying for promotions services is one thing, buying votes is another. And while I can't promise I won't ever do it, I have only begun my experiments with bots, and I am taking things slowly, to get a good idea of which strategy is most effective for myself.

Based on your comments, it would seem that bidbots may not be a good fit for me.

Sounds like a good plan... Bidbots are essentially the same as minnowbooster -but there is potential to earn a higher ROI (or in my case have a lower ROI)

Yeah I am not to big on them but in some cases I need to for visibility (such as contests), but otherwise I just focus on writing good content.

I also find some people dont like bots and are actually less likely to upvote you if you are using bots all the time. I found without them its more likely your content will get noticed by services such as @curie aswell..

Its a tough situation because I can see the pros and cons of each side
