      Yes plums are ripe. I picked them a couple of days ago and plan to can some today for this coming winter. We have been eating a lot fresh.

        Thank you. I appreciate it. I canned 17 quarts of plums yesterday. Left some for fresh eating, and I have another variety (with less fruit) coming along nicely. Pictures coming soon!
