RE: My First Year on Steemit

in #steemit7 years ago

Friend and brother Lydon,

I celebrate your Steemit anniversary with you! It must be that I somehow didn't meet you early in my sojourn, because I would never have guessed that you'd been here a year already!

I've recently passed my first anniversary, and suspect that after a sufficient aggregation of thoughts about that gather, I'll do the obligatory "one year post" and ruminate about it. ;)

It's been delightful getting to know you a bit. I've really appreciated your many kind comments and interactions in the "Reply" area under my posts. I'm really happy that you're finding some new and enlightening ideas here, and hope that I'll be able to pass along a little wisdom from time to time.

I'm also pleased to learn that you espouse an Amillennial view theologically... BTW, before I forget, would you please fix that link in your article?

"Amillenial" is really such a misnomer... Jesus is presently ruling and reigning, enthroned at the Father's right hand... and thus, we are in the midst of his millennial reign...

Thanks for this sweet post. Later!

😄😇😄

We crossed paths in one of John's posts, and it surprised me then how we hadn't met yet.

Why yes, the obligatory celebration post is in order.

You are always good for a fresh perspective on current and past events. You have a way of balancing truth and grace that is not easily accomplished.

Thought you might appreciate the Amillenial mention. Thank you for the heads up about the broken link - it is fixed now.

Thank you! That term makes me chuckle as well. He is presently reigning and oh is it glorious.

Thanks for fixing the link... Nice summary article!

Thank you also for the very kind words.

As far as the present reign being glorious; well, I also find it distressing and wearying! And so in my mind, I tend to always be living in the "not yet," thinking about and longing for it daily. That will be truly glorious! It is one of the perennial themes of my writing, with much, much more to come on the topic.

And those articles are not yet here, but I am already looking forward to them. ;)
