I think the greatest problem with whales is they have to much voting impact; simply they vote and they drag all these kissalong votes toward questionable content.
I mean many of the trending or whale voted stuff; how does that improve steemit, users or stakeholders or humanity in general ???
Any new website needs experienced people to make it work and some of these writers are awesome, they are fun, entertaining and engaging. But simply does that make their content worth having on the blockchain ???
MANY Many many old songs were written and performed years ago and thankfully 99% of them have been "lost" and 'discarded' by humanity over the decades.
There are many steemit articles that are gaining silly votes or not getting the traction they deserve; and I for one cannot figure out how that benefits Steemit or humanity in any meaningful way...
