Where has everyone gone? There used to be a joke ,when a country like Zimbabwe was going down the tubes. Last one out turn the lights off. This isn't going to happen here, but a truckload of users have disappeared over the last few months. I understand Steem has dropped by around 400 percent in value, but that shouldn't make any difference. In a month or two Steem will rise again and this place will be heaving once more. I am glad as I have witnessed both sides now and gives me some insights into the different mentality of the community.
Today the ones that are still here will have seen a post regarding the SMT's and the Testnet launch early next year. This is all positive news and a big bonus to all the long term thinkers. Long term is what this platform is all about and it is not about instant rewards and buggering off. Firstly we are a community trying to build something special and only secondly should you worry about financial gains. I am not wealthy but I don't expect anything for free, like all of us one day financial freedom to do whatever you want would be a sweet bonus.
My feed has become rather quiet and will change it knowing that the ones who disappeared will also disappear of my feed. I would much rather support someone who has stayed no matter what ,than someone who chose to leave because of low rewards. Little do they realize that the rewards that they receive now will do them more good long term than a quick buck or two. I personally think they are insanely stupid and have very little grey matter.
I am very happy that the platform has been trimmed of the fake no gooders and it has highlighted all the like minded people who have stayed. I will take note of who is here and try and engage more and help with my measly upvotes as much as possible. As they say every little bit counts and it accumulates quite quickly over a period of time. I can think of nothing better than if we all keep powering up ,helping others achieve success and more importantly enjoying our time here. A big thank you to everyone who has stayed and makes this place what it is.

sorry I'm charging my vote, it was 40% this morning.
I can't wait to see what things look like by the time my account is a year old. And I hope I don't bail, this is one of the anchors for me right now in a rather rough reality. Something about the steemit community is welcoming in a way people I know aren't.
